As a 1990s zine publisher, I love this so much. Publishing a zine and hearing back from readers around the country -- even if it was only 4 or 5 of them -- was such a wonderful thing.

I bet it was a wonderful feeling to create connections across time and space like that! I miss snail mail and really want to incorporate it back into my artist practice. It's so magical 💌

Self plug, but my publishing project Shapeless Press put out SEX CHANGE USA which archives tabloid articles about trans ppl from the late 90s/early 00s. You can see it at shapeless press.com!
